Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to know about tyres, fitting, and what to expect at the workshop.
How often should I replace my tyres?
Most tyres need replacing every 40,000–60,000km, or sooner if the tread depth is close to the legal minimum of 1.5mm. We check tread depth and overall condition for free — just drop by.
What tyre pressure should I run?
The correct pressure for your vehicle is listed on a sticker inside the driver's door frame, or in your owner's manual. We set pressures to spec on every fitting and can top them up any time, no appointment needed.
Do you fit run-flat tyres?
Yes, we fit and balance run-flat tyres for a wide range of makes and models, including Pirelli's run-flat range as an authorised Performance Centre.
How long does a fitting take?
A standard set of four tyres usually takes around 45–60 minutes, including fitting, balancing, and a pressure check. Wheel alignment adds extra time — we'll give you an estimate when you book.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome, but booking ahead means we can have your tyres ready and get you in and out faster. Call, email, or use the contact form to book.
Can you repair a punctured tyre, or does it need replacing?
It depends on the size and location of the damage. Punctures in the tread area are usually repairable; damage to the sidewall generally isn't. We'll inspect it and give you an honest recommendation.
Do you do wheel alignments as well as tyre fitting?
Yes, we offer full wheel alignment and balancing alongside tyre fitting. Getting an alignment when you fit new tyres helps them wear evenly and last longer.
What brands of tyres do you stock?
As Pukekohe's only authorised Pirelli Performance Centre, we carry the full Pirelli range alongside other major brands to suit most budgets. Get in touch and we'll find the right tyre for your car.
